OUR PRICE GUARANTEE
CAFA will match any price for an identical service package, casket, or urn listed on a current price list published by any retail funeral merchandise provider within 25 miles of CAFA. The service and/or merchandise must be listed on CAFA's General Price List, Casket Price List, Outer Burial Container Price List, or Urn Price List.
ABOUT FUNERAL PRICES
When planning a funeral, how much you care is not measured by how much you spend. Prices vary widely among different funeral establishments. CAFA specializes in offering simple, dignified arrangements at dramatically reduced costs.
Not all “alternative” or “discount” funeral and cremation providers are alike. Because it is a fully licensed funeral establishment with its own crematory, CAFA can provide a full range of service options while maintaining professional control and careful custody throughout the process. Also, unlike some of our "discount" competitors, CAFA will never delay or devalue the care of your loved one based on your spending.
When comparing prices, be sure to consider the total cost of all the items together. Every funeral home must have price lists that include all the items essential for the different types of arrangements it offers.
The funeral provider must give you an itemized statement of the total cost of the funeral goods and services you have selected when you make the arrangements. This statement also must disclose any legal, cemetery or crematory requirements that you purchase any specific funeral goods or services.
Remember to include cemetery costs in your budget if you plan to bury the remains. Those costs may include the lot or crypt (if you don't already own one), perpetual care, opening and closing the grave or crypt, the grave liner or vault, and the marker or monument (including installation)
You also need to pay for any “cash advances,” which are amounts paid by the funeral home to outside parties on your behalf. These include church or clergy fees, newspaper notices, and certified copies of the death certificate. If the funeral provider doesn't know the cost of the cash advance items at the time, he or she is required to give you a written good-faith estimate.
